Kromboom Rotary Club teams up with the Wynberg and Constantia Clubs for this year's RFHD

As was done last year, Kromboom Rotary Club teamed up again with the Rotary Clubs of Wynberg and Constantia to host a site for Rotary Family Health Day (RFHD).  This year the site chosen was the Sozo Foundation in Vrygrond where close to 1000 people were screened over the three day period.

From this number, there were 2429 interventions for primary services, such as Blood Pressure, HIV and TB Screening plus the provision of deworming medication and Vitamin A supplements for children. Amongst the services offered Spec Savers again provided Eye Testing with the provision of free reading glasses proving to be the most popular singular add on service. Over 600 people had their eyes tested and 303 pairs of spectacles were handed out.

As the "Where Rainbows Meet" (WRM) premises is close by, Mymoena also brought along her Beading Project Ladies to have their eyes tested.  They were thrilled to receive their new “reading” glasses, which will help them with their close up work while also alleviating eye strain.

We are very proud to have again been part of this very worthwhile project.
